Stainless steel sheet can be bent by hand or using a dedicated bending tool, with thinner sheets being easily bent without preparation and handling while thicker ones must be handled more carefully and cautiously.

Ragavendra Engineering is one of the premier suppliers, exporters and stockists of Stainless Steel 316L Sheets, Plates and Coils. As an austenitic grade of stainless steel it offers exceptional corrosion protection.

Stainless Steel 304 Sheet

Stainless Steel 304 sheet is one of the most versatile and widely used grades available today, boasting excellent mechanical properties alongside outstanding resistance to many corrosive agents found both at home and at work. It can easily be roll formed and welded for fabrication purposes; additionally, its non magnetic surface makes for simple cleaning processes which makes this grade ideal for applications requiring high levels of hygiene and sanitation.

304 stainless steel comes in several forms, with more durable grades such as 316 offering increased corrosion resistance. We stock both types in thicknesses and widths to meet any project need and can also custom make pieces to your specifications if you need something unique for a project that you already have underway or an entirely new venture – whether we can help.

Both grades of stainless steel are composed of chromium and nickel alloys, with grade 304 being the most popular variation. Also referred to as standard 18/8 stainless steel, stainless steel 304 offers cost-effective resistance against corrosion and oxidation for marine hardware and other industrial uses. It is often employed in food processing environments or pharmaceutical plant facilities.

Stainless Steel 304 has excellent forming and welding characteristics, in addition to excellent machinability. This is due to its well-balanced austenitic structure which allows severe drawing without intermediate annealing – making it the premier grade used in drawn applications like sinks and hollowware. Furthermore, this grade can be readily brake formed or roll formed into complex shapes without difficulty before being bent to produce various components.

Grade 304 weldability is outstanding when using either manual or automatic welding techniques, although not hardenable via heat treatment. Instead, its low carbon content helps prevent precipitation during welding. Furthermore, this material often comes equipped with additional certification of grade 304L (low carbon) to avoid postweld annealing becoming necessary after weld lines have formed rust formation.

Stainless Steel 316L Sheet

Stainless Steel 316L sheet is one of the most sought-after alloys used in various applications, offering excellent corrosion resistance in various environments such as marine environments. Available in a range of sizes and thicknesses, the 316L grade offers good weldability as well as resistance against stress-induced corrosion; hot-rolled and cold-rolled forms of this metal exist for your convenience, with its austenite structure and low carbon content making it an excellent option for applications requiring extensive welding applications.

316L stainless steel has been developed to offer improved corrosion resistance properties over its counterpart 304L in moderately corrosive environments. Molybdenum’s presence improves general corrosion and chloride pitting resistance as well as creep and stress-to-rupture strength at elevated temperatures, as well as resistance against chloride related stress corrosion cracking in the presence of halides.

316L stainless steel plate is an affordable nonmagnetic alloy that offers exceptional corrosion resistance in both reducing and oxidizing environments. It boasts excellent weldability and can easily be manufactured using standard fusion welding techniques, while resisting intergranular corrosion with better tolerances than most grades of stainless steel. 316L is an economical option when applied for applications requiring superior corrosion protection to a variety of chemicals.

Cold rolling of this grade does not compromise its corrosion-resistance properties; however, after rolling it should always be annealed for maximum weldability and ductility. Since it’s work hardening steel that needs to be rapidly cooled after hot working to avoid temper embrittlement. Machining can be done using conventional techniques; however, low speeds, heavy feed rates, and adequate lubrication are recommended to achieve optimal results.

Silicon Steels is an industry-leading supplier and stockiest of SS 316L sheet in India, manufactured using premium grade raw materials under the supervision of industry experts. These plates can be found widely used across industrial applications in multiple sizes, shapes, and specifications – we provide these plates at competitive rates to our clients.

Stainless Steel 316L Coils

Stainless steel 316l coils come in various sizes and gauges, and are often found in food processing equipment but can also be found elsewhere. With excellent temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, it makes this alloy suitable for harsh environments. Composed mostly of iron, chromium, nickel (with an option for additional molybdenum addition for even higher corrosion resistance), stainless steel 316l boasts excellent weldability as well as good machinability with its low carbon content making it immune from sensitization issues that occur with lower grade grades such as this.

As opposed to other stainless steels, grade 316l is not magnetic, although it may become slightly magnetic when cold worked or heated to temperatures above its melting point. This issue often arises with lower-grade steels but can be addressed using proper welding techniques. Furthermore, stainless steel 316l resists corrosion from chlorides and other reducing acids.

This grade resembles grade 316 but with reduced carbon content to reduce inorganic compound precipitation and enhance weldability, as well as eliminating sensitization that occurs with heavier gauge welded components and creating less corrosion from desalination water sources. Additionally, grade 317L is less vulnerable to crevice corrosion.

Grade 316L alloy is widely recognized for marine applications due to its superior combination of high chromium and nickel contents which provide outstanding elevated-temperature strength while its low carbon content facilitates welding. Furthermore, molybdenum’s presence strengthens corrosion resistance against chlorides or other reducing acids like sulfuric acid that could attack locallyized areas of corrosion resistance.

Grade 316L stainless steel is typically employed in applications where corrosion may be an issue, including acid, chemical, petrochemical and marine-related applications. It’s ideal for heavy-duty welded fabrications as it can be easily rolled into different shapes for rolling. Furthermore, 2B finish further strengthens corrosion resistant properties of this alloy making it popular choice among industries and automotive sectors; pumps valves and other machinery production also utilize its use.

Stainless Steel 316L Strips

Stainless Steel 316L Strip Coils are cold rolled products made of high quality stainless steel coils and come in different grades and widths for you to select from. Offering excellent corrosion resistance properties and suitable for many different applications such as marine fittings, coastal architecture and dairies; as well as being cryogenically stable; they also resist oxidation at cryogenic temperatures; their low carbon content makes it suitable for heavy gauge welded components as they have great creep-stress rupture resistance while still possessing good tensile strength at high temperatures – ideal products!

Precision strip is manufactured from stainless steel grades such as austenite and ferritic. Additionally, Martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel Dura 6908 known as Ultrafort 1.6908 as well as duplex grades are also available; their grade being determined by chemical composition, microstructure properties and other considerations. Precision strips are produced to very tight tolerances regarding tension strength, flatness, surface texture and other properties.

SS 316L Sheet is an austenitic grade of stainless steel designed to provide optimal corrosion resistance in harsh environments, particularly chloride solutions. Due to a higher concentration of chromium, nickel and molybdenum than type 304 grade stainless steels, it offers better protection from oxidation and corrosion oxidation; additionally it is highly ductile with excellent weldability characteristics.
